‘Telephone’ hitmaker Lady Gaga has tested “borderline positive” for lupus.

Results shows that the singer is currently not suffering from the condition but doctors has asked her to take care of her body to prevent any symptoms that may come up, reports The Daily Express.

The ‘Poker Face’ star underwent test for lupus, the disease that killed her aunt Joanne, after suffering a string of health problems in recent months.

Gaga explains to host Larry King on his chat show, “Lupus is in my family and it is genetic.”

She added: “My mother told me the other day that my fans were quite worried about me because I did talk about the fact that I was tested for lupus. The truth is I don”t show any signs, any symptoms of lupus. But I have tested borderline positive for the disease.”

She concluded saying: “As of right now I do not have it, but I have to take good care of myself.”

Hollywood actress Sarah Jessica Parker says she loves Lady Gaga’s music and enjoys listening to her unconventional songs.

“I want to say one thing about Lady Gaga, which is, a year and a half ago, I was in an editing room working on a project and had already downloaded as much music of hers as I could onto my iPod. And she was not in the mainstream yet, but I loved her,” contactmusic.com quoted Parker as saying.

Pop singer Lady Gaga has been compared to Michael Jackson by producer Rodney Jerkins who worked with her on “Telephone”.

“We haven’t seen an artist like Gaga in a long time, we haven’t seen an artist that really has no fear. I remember Michael Jackson used to tell me he was crucified for doing ‘Thriller’, but he had to do what he felt was needed at that time. I’m just happy to be part of history,” contactmusic.com quoted Jerkins as saying.

“I’ve always wanted to leave my stamp on music, and to be able to say that I worked with Michael Jackson and now I’m working with Lady Gaga, who’ll probably go down in history as one of the best female entertainers of all time.”

Pop singer Lady Gaga has come out in defence of the raunchy video of her new track “Telephone”, insisting it is groundbreaking and will be remembered for long time.

The nine-and-a-half minute promo shows the singer being taken to a women-only cell and includes scenes of swearing, a lesbian kiss and simulated murder. The video also stars Beyonce Knowles, reports contactmusic.com.

“There are transsexual women and transgender women, and suddenly it becomes poisonous and something else because there are some people who believe being gay is a choice. It’s not a choice, we’re born this way. That’s why for me this video is groundbreaking because it has one foot in the art community and one foot in the commercial world,” she said.

“I told Beyonce this after it aired, you’ll see this video is not just great now but six months from now what this video will mean. Hearing people say the video is sadomasochistic or that the video promotes murder for young people, it’s my personal belief that the video is getting so much attention not because of those themes because I’ve done those themes before, haven’t I? There are no rules or limits when it comes to love. But I see love as separate from sex,” she added.

Pop singer Lady Gaga has hit back at the lawsuit filed by her former mentor, insisting the business agreement between them was “unlawful”.

Contactmusic.com reports that producer Rob Fusari has filed a $35 million lawsuit against her alleging that she dumped him as soon as she became a star. He produced several tracks on Gaga’s debut album, “The Fame”, including the hit “Paparazzi”.

According to the legal papers, Gaga and Fusari created a joint company called Team Love Child LLC, of which Fusari had a 20 percent share.

Gaga’s lawyer, Charles Ortner, has responded to the lawsuit in a letter, claiming the pair’s arrangement was “structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose – to provide to the defendants unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents.”

Ortner also claims Fusari and his company charged Gaga “an unlawful fee for their purported services,” reports contactmusic.com.

But Fusari’s legal representative Robert S. Meloni has hit back at the claims calling them “ludicrous”.

“Fusari is a partner in the Team Love LLC with Gaga and her father (through their company Mermaid). Rob was no more of an ‘agent’ for her than she is a Roman Catholic nun,” he said.

Pop diva Lady Gaga has been dethroned by English singer Ellie Goulding, who rocketed to the top of the British album charts with her debut album “Lights”.

Goulding won the critics’ choice prize at the Brit ceremony, has scored a number one, pushing Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” into second place, reported imdb.com.

The 23-year-old singer met Gaga at the Brit Awards last month , where the “Poker Face” singer passed on a few wise words.

Meanwhile London rapper Tinie Tempah stormed the singles chart, taking first place with his debut track “Pass Out”.

Rihanna was at second position with “Rude Boy” and Jason Derulo’s “In My Head” came third in the singles chart.

Singer Katy Perry says she is excited about releasing her next album because she can’t wait to compete with Lady Gaga and Rihanna in the pop charts.

Perry is preparing to release a follow-up to her mainstream debut “One of the Boys” later this year, and is reinventing her image and voice to keep up with her contemporaries, reports contactmusic.com.

“(The new music) is still fun, but it’s a bit darker. It’s not as annoying. Sometimes I feel like a big strawberry with a face on it. If you do something over and over again it’s like Chinese water torture. If it hits your head enough times, you want to die. You have to just evolve,” she said.

“(In the pop industry) you’ve got Gaga, who’s like, from outer space; you’ve got Kesha, who’s the beer-drinking, house-party girl; and then you’ve got Rihanna, who’s transforming the urban world into her own outer space,” she said.

“But I feel like you’re missing an Alanis Morissette in 2010. I love how she was a voice for a lot of people who couldn’t explain their feelings. But it’s not like I’m not gonna compete. I love a good dose of healthy competition. It’s not going to be the same that they’re doing,” she added.
