It has been spread by numerous tabloids that Naomi Campbell, an extremely popular and scandalous fashion model, is going to give her testimony at the war crimes trial of Charles Taylor, who is a former president of Liberia.

It is written in articles that Charles Taylor is charged with supporting the rebels in the civil war which broke out in Sierra Leone and lasted a long period of time – 11 years. It has been reported by the press that the former president of Liberia provided the rebels with his support if they fulfill his condition – they should have given diamonds and other natural resources to him. That incident was even called “blood diamonds” in public. However, it is not surprising that Charles Taylor denies that such an exchange of partner promises existed.
Naomi Campbell has been summoned by the prosecutors at Charles Taylor’s trial in The Hague to give her testimony a bit later this month concerning some reports that Taylor presented her with diamonds in 1997 during his reception South Africa.

A public relations company, the Outside Organization, which represents the model’s interests, revealed that the star will appear in court on July 29.

Naomi Campbell had reportedly barred her look-alike model Jessica White from her 40th birthday party at Hotel du Cap in the South of France.

“The door girl told her she”d lose her job if she let Jessica in,” the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

“Naomi”s always been jealous of her because they look similar, except Jessica is 15 years younger,” the source added.

Among those present in the party were Jennifer Lopez, Denise Rich, Sarah Ferguson, and Topshop honcho Sir Philip Green

Naomi Campbell has reportedly postponed a planned trip to Haiti following an outbreak of malaria in the earthquake-ravaged country.

The British supermodel has been raising money to boost aid efforts in the Caribbean nation since the January tremor, which killed hundreds of thousands of people and left many more homeless.

Campbell, who hosted star-studded fashion shows in New York and London to help Haiti, was due to fly there later this month to lend a hand to survivors of the earthquake but the trip has now been scrapped after the mosquito-borne disease began to sweep the region, imdb.com reports.

An insider has revealed Campbell still intends to visit Haiti in the coming months.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has admitted she is highly embarrassed about her past mistakes and has vowed to learn from them.

“Everyone knows what I’ve gone through. I’m human, I make mistakes, but I’ve come clean on them all. I don’t deny them. I’ve taken the heat and felt highly embarrassed by a lot of them,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

“I’m not proud of the things I’ve done and the incidents that have happened in my life, and I would never say I was. But I did something about it. I’m not above learning lessons.”

“I’m not shirking blame for any of the things I did. I’m responsible for my actions. But I’m also responsible for making changes.”

Naomi is determined to learn from her “faults” as she approaches her 40th birthday on May 22.

“I’ve worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I won’t be held hostage by my past behaviour. I always try to treat people with respect, she added.

Naomi Campbell’s driver has apologised for falsely accusing her of assaulting him and the supermodel says she is “pleased”.

Driver Miodrag Mejdina conveyed through his lawyer that he “got angry and overreacted” and that the incident was “blown out of proportion”, reports people.com.

After accepting the apology, Campbell said: “I was accused of unacceptable behaviour towards a driver in New York. I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past. I try to treat everyone with respect and I am pleased the driver has apologised.”

“I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on,” she added.
