R&B singer Rihanna was rushed to a hospital to get treated for an injured rib after performing at a concert in Zurich, Switzerland.

Rihanna was rushed into a hospital after performing in front of a sold out crowd at the Hallenstadion venue in Zurich. She was taken to the hospital by her driver, bodyguard and personal assistant and checked into the emergency room.

People.com reports that her representative said she “had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn’t”. The 22-year-old remained in the hospital for over two-and-a-half-hours on April 19 and was then taken back to the venue.


Porn star Bridget The Midget surprised Rihanna by treating the singer with a raunchy lap dance on her birthday.

Singer Rihanna’s recent performance at a concert has been panned by critics for her costume.

The announcement came as organisers released the list of performers who have pledged to appear on the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon set to air Friday night on major US television stations. Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow will star in Los Angeles. Coldplay, and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, and Rihanna will perform in London. More than 100 other stars will be speaking and answering phones.

Between performances, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will report from the ground in Haiti, Wyclef Jean will host in New York, and organiser George Clooney will manage proceedings in Los Angeles.

Proceeds will be split evenly among the event’s beneficiaries including: Partners in Health, Wyclef’s Yele Haiti Foundation, the recently formed Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, Oxfam, the Red Cross, UNICEF and the United Nations World Food Programme.

Meanwhile, when talking about the infamous violence attack by Chris Brown, Rihanna said she doesn’t want the stamp of a domestic violence victim.

“That”s a part of my life I never want to go through again,” the News of the World quoted her as saying.

She added: “I don”t want that stamp of a domestic violence victim.”
