Everybody was waiting for this wedding. On Saturday Chelsea Clinton finally tied the knot with Marc Mezvinsky at Astor Courts located in Rhinebeck, N.Y. 400 guests were invited.

Elaine Quijano, CBS News correspondent, reported that the 30-year-old bride appeared in a Vera Wang strapless dress, which was made of ivory silk organza and featured with a belt.

Marc Mezvinsky, the groom, didn’t forget about his Jewish faith and added a yarmulke to his Burberry tux. Religious traditions of both families were combined – a Methodist minister and rabbi were present at the wedding ceremony.

According to Quijano, security was really tight. Identification bracelets were given to all the guests when they boarded a bus.

The Post informed that the newly-weds were dancing their first dance to “At Last,” Etta James classic. After that Bill Clinton waltzed his beloved daughter to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra.

A gift bag filled with sweets, pretzels, and local wine was given to guests.

On Sunday morning all guests were taken in black sedans and Land Rovers to the finale of that festive occasion – to a brunch – that was held near Rhinebeck at the Grasmere Estate.

The wedding of Hillary and Bill Clinton’s daughter was characterized by low celebrity count and tight security.
As it was pointed out by tabloids, this festive event became a real family event notable for its modest sprinkling of present stars.

Nevertheless, in no case was Chelsea Clinton’s Saturday wedding low-key. The bride’s father Bill led his daughter down the aisle, who was shining with happiness in a veiled Vera Wang gown. The former U.S. president had thoroughly prepared for his child’s big day and kept his promises. First, he was not crying during the ceremony, second, it was obvious that he had lost about pledged 15lbs.

Hillary Clinton appeared in a chick dress designed by Oscar de la Renta. Marc Mezvinsky, the groom and at the same time investment banker and Chelsea’s childhood friend, was dressed in a tallit prayer shawl and a yarmulke.

Such guests were invited as Roger, Clinton’s half-brother, Madeleine Albright, his former secretary of state, and the Democratic National Committee former chairman Terry McAuliffe. It is interesting that Clintons had not invited the Obamas.

Even actor Ted Danson when spotted joked whether he was the only celebrity in town or not.
